The Sony BRAVIA KDL 70XBR3 70 inch flat panel, high definition LCD television was announced January 2007 by Sony Electronics at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES). It is the biggest screen of the Sony BRAVIA; “Best Resolution Audio Visual Integrated Architecture” LCD TV range.

Features:
It is a high definition LCD TV with 1080 pixels resolution panel, finished in Piano Gloss Black. It has an edge over ordinary HDTVs as it is optimized to offer full benefit of HD sources like Blu-ray Disk players and PS3 system. The most powerful digital video processor of Sony; the Bravia Engine PRO, drives this 70” TV’s display. Digital Reality Creation Multi-function v2.5, Sony’s picture quality enhancement circuit has twice the processing power of earlier generation, and it can upgrade all lesser resolution standard and HD video sources to 1080p. This TV has a response time of 8ms.

It has a static contrast ratio of 1300:1, whereas a dynamic contrast ratio of 7000:1, which is great when compared to rivals. The Advanced Contrast Enhancement (ACE) automatically senses the Average Picture Level (APL) of video signal, and adjusts backlight intensity.
There are three HDMI inputs, along with the allowance of PC connectivity. SRS Lab’s patented SRS TruSurround XT surround sound technology, used in KDL 70XBR3 produces surround sound effect with only two speakers. It features Dialog clarity, Dolby Certified surround sound field, and enhanced bass performance.

This is indeed a great step-up in the Bravia family, with enhanced features and improved performance level. In addition, the 70” display is more than a charisma.
