Google Goggles is a very fantastic phone application for the android users which has got the capability to recognize an image that has been placed in it; it is currently available in the beta version and was developed by Google labs. Recently the Google labs have brought some more goodness for this application in the form of its new update and this one will translate the foreign words that are found in pictures taken by users. According to the company’s announcement this one will be available for the android devices that will be using Android 1.6 and above versions.
This new feature provided by Google will specifically help the travelers and readers of foreign language, just point out you camera at a foreign sign, book or any sort of word and this application will make that thing translated for you. The details of the Goggles have been provided on the official blog and according to that “In addition to translation, Goggles v1.1 features improved barcode recognition, a larger corpus of artwork, recognition of many more products and logos, an improved user interface, and the ability to initiate visual searches using images in your phone’s photo gallery.” The android users can easily download this application from the application store and get the freedom of knowing even the foreign languages as well.
