Due to global economic crisis, people’s lives and living standards have also been highly affected. Everyone wants to save more and spend little. But then, there are some necessities of this modern era without which one is not able to survive. For businessmen, students and office employees, a computer system has become a necessity. Due to frequent traveling; need of a portable computer has increased. Here come notebooks. Every one wants to get their hands on such a notebook which is easy to handle, packed with all essential features and immensely economical. Market is filled with such kind of laptops, but there are plenty of expensive ones too. One amongst the latter is Lenovo Think Pad X301. It is a smart and stylish, feature-packed 13.3” netbook; whose targeted customers are business executives.

Surprisingly, the net book is lightweight as well as solid. The outer case is made up of magnesium and is rock hard. On the other hand, the nearly 1 inch thickness makes it ultra portable as it can easily slip into one’s bag. Also, it is all black.

Regarding ports and in/out puts; there are 3 USB 2.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet slot, Audio out, microphone in, Monitor out and display port. Too bad it lacks a slot for PC or Express cards.
The keyboard is one of the best features of X301. Keys are nicely spaced, and are easy to handle. Moreover, the keys have a lusterless finishing; protecting them over years. There are dual navigation options i.e. a touchpad as well as a Trackpoint pointing stick. Therefore, the users can choose according to their preference.
The ThinkPad X301 uses a recently released Intel 1.40GHz Core 2 Duo SU9400 processor from the Montevina family chipset. The X300 used a 1.20GHz L7100 chip has been especially designed by Intel for that notebook. The X301 has fresh Intel 4500MHD integrated graphics on board.
When it comes to connectivity, X301 is fully equipped. Prominent
technological characteristics are WLAN Wi-Fi, UWB, GPS, Ethernet LAN port and Bluetooth.

Final Words:
This notebook is fully equipped with most of the important technological features, is beautifully designed and functions nicely; though is expensive. Whoever can afford it must grab a piece, as it is quite a nice and functional laptop.
