The sleek TV has a glossy black look with a tint of silver at the bottom. Fresh circular stand makes it look distinct form other models. Both the speakers are well hidden, thus enhancing the smooth appearance. Remote control, in general, is also a nice thing to hold.

THX Display Certification and VieraCast together take the TV at heights of quality performance. With VieraCast, you will be able to access YouTube videos, photos stored on your Picasa account, local weather and Bloomberg stocks and headlines. There are few ways defined in the TV to defend against burn-in, e.g. a pixel orbiter and scrolling bar function.

Picture in picture cannot be found in this model; neither there is an option to pause the picture. As far as picture quality is concerned, it can only be termed as excellent. The black levels and color accuracy is awesome.

Pros:

  • Great performance
  • Remarkable shadow details
  • Wonderful accuracy of primary colors
  • Uses less power than previous 1080p plasmas

Cons:

  • Less-accurate green color decoding and secondary colors of magenta and cyan
  • Expensive
  • Limited light output in THX mode
  • Insufficient picture controls

Final Words:

Though there are few flaws in the performance level of this TV; it is a very nice choice in general. Deep blacks, color accuracy and nice video performance are indeed what we all are looking for in a plasma TV. Nonetheless, price factor cannot be overlooked.
