Here comes the long awaited PSP Go! At the E3 press conference of Sony, the new handheld console has been revealed officially at last. This gaming handheld was being awaited since long, as spied news broke every other day about it. Now it is time to stop spreading rumors (and believing them), quit anticipating and leave speculating; the PSP Go is here.
This is 50 % smaller than the original PSP and 40 % lighter than it in weight. As was told earlier, it is a slider gadget. The screen slides to expose the controls. These controls include a D-pad, a single analogue stick and the ordinary set of PS control buttons. There is no slot for Universal Media Disk (UMD), as the games are to be directly downloaded from the PS store. Anyhow, Sony has vowed that the entire future games selection will be made available not only via download but at UMD, too.
The on board flash memory is 16 GB that is quite adequate. Yet, the memory is expandable via M2 memory stick. Perhaps, Sony should have given a thought to SD card. Connectivity includes Bluetooth as well as Wi-Fi. Sony is further trying to enhance PC/PSP connectivity and launch Media Go.
It is not only a gaming console, but a media player, too. PSP Go will be available in the UK in October. Right now, it is bearing a price tag of $249. Quite expensive though, nothing is expensive enough for dedicated and passionate gamers.
