Alpha DSLR-A900Markets are filled up with every kind of digital camera; pricey, cheap; standard resolution, high definition; less mega pixels, more mega pixels; big, small; etc. The Sony Alpha DSLR-A900 is a Digital Single Lens Reflex camera, which features quite an inspiring and remarkable 24.6 mega pixels resolution. It is first camera model by Sony which has a full frame sensor, and it is the first full frame DSLR in the world which features built in image stabilization. Also, it is the highest resolution 35mm-format DSLR featuring 24.6 mega pixels.

The main feature here is the full frame sensor. This chip was announced in January 2008. It measures the identical dimension as 35mm film that permits them to dispense with the field reduction factor of other DSLR sensors. Thus, it mounts a lens similar to the Carl Zeiss 16-35mm. Surprisingly; one will actually get 16-35mm coverage instead of the 24-53mm coverage when it’s mounted on other Alpha DSLRs.

This camera is equipped with dual Bionz image processors, which allow the camera to remarkably shoot at 5fps. This rate is perfectly matched by the 1Ds Mark III’s and this makes the whole situation much interesting as our reviewed product is cheaper than 1Ds Mark III. The in built image stabilization shifts the sensor to work against camera shaking situation, and this system works with any kind of lens that the user will attach to it.

Other features include VGA screen, HDMI port, precise battery feedback, support for UDMA cards, AF micro adjustment of lenses and Sony’s Dynamic Range Optimizer. The detailed and ultra fine images will lighten up your day. Obviously, a high end resolution such as the one this camera possesses is admirable. The speed of framing and capturing the image is great, and the camera provides good responsiveness. With the settings menu, one can choose the shoot mode according to their wish, and put in as much creativity as needed. Also, the build quality is fine and strong, which makes the camera live longer and enhances its durability.

Pros:

Full frame sensor
24.6 mega pixels resolution

Built in image stabilization

Cons:

Higher resolution photos require larger space

Overall, this camera is a very fine piece, and caters to all the needs of a user.
