It is not every other day that you come across a car as sexy and stylish in looks as the Volkswagen Scirocco GT 2.0l TSi. The reason is that it is coupe which looks like a naughty love-child of a convertible roadster and a hatchback. If looks are something to go by, wait till you get your hands on the wheel. If you ever had any doubt as to what the car would drive like, the light of the infinite knowledge Volkswagen’s engineering would dawn upon you. Photos aside, unless you see the car in real life, you are missing a big thing.

The model has a turbo charged engine rated at 200 bhp. This is not a performance vehicle but does perform really well. At best you may consider it an extremely refined car. Moreover the car has a carbon footprint is 170g for every kilometer. Hah, no guzzler tax! Now the catch is that compared to the sporty looks, it is not a sporty drive. True it was just said that this is not a performance vehicle but just a bit more power would not have been any harm. But then for a daily commuting vehicle, this would not be an issue.

In order to ensure passenger safety, the car comes with six air bags deployed from front, sides and curtains. It is possible to disable the passenger side air bags. The front side also comes with special head restraints. The rear seats come with Isofix mounting points so children are tight and safe in a safety harness. As of now the Euro NCAP crash test data is not available for the car but if VW is to be believed, it would not be much of an issue either. VW has also included parking sensors at the rear. The moment car goes in the reverse gear, the main RNS 510 display changes to the parking view.

Talking about the RNS 510, get some of the best automotive entertainment systems in the car. The display is a large 6.5 inches, touch screen mind you! Since this is the top end DynAudio system, you get a 600W amplifier and 10 speckers. That is a lot of punch for such a system. Push its volume more than 50% and your ears would start to beg for mercy! All in all, Volkswagen Scirocco GT 2.0l TSi is the best in range car.
